Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence
Indian River State College is the 2019 winner of the prestigious Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, an honor that recognizes outstanding quality in the areas of completion & transfer, labor market outcomes, learning, equity and more. A finalist for three consecutive prize cycles—in 2015, 2017 and 2019—IRSC was awarded Top-3 Finalist with Distinction in 2017, ultimately earning the number one spot in 2019. Achieving the Dream—Leader College
In 2014, Indian River State College joined Achieving the Dream (ATD), a national, non-profit network of colleges collaboratively working to achieve positive higher education reforms, data-driven institutional improvement and productive equity outcomes. Within two years of joining, IRSC was invited by ATD to be a Leader College in the network as a result of the institution’s work on completion rates, achievement gap closure, and more. U.S. Dept. of Education College Affordability and Transparency Center
Indian River State College is consistently one of the most affordable public, postsecondary institutions in the United States.
