Performance: The Revolutionists

In The Revolutionists, playwright Lauren Gunderson creates semi-factual portraits of four very real women who lived and died through the French Revolution. A celebration of sisterhood in the face of terror, the play puts a cutting, contemporary, and compassionate take on what it was like for these women to stand up and fight for what they believed in. Through humor, fantasy, and the magic of theatre, we watch this quartet of revolutionary role-models, who most likely never actually met in real life, redefine, reimagine, and reclaim the record, in the name of egalite, liberte, fraternite and... sororite! These incredible women truly turn history into herstory. 

This outdoor production will take place in the McAlpin Gazebo.
