'Indian River State College (IRSC) is a 2021–2022 Military Friendly® School.'
- Designation from Viqtory
SPECIAL NOTICE: Post 9/11 GI Bill students who pursue resident courses converted to an online modality solely due to COVID-19 will continue to receive the MHA rate for resident training. The law only authorizes this special authority from March 1, 2020 to December 21, 2021.
Indian River State College is proud to welcome veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and their dependents into our educational programs. The College offers military-friendly classes, convenient course scheduling, and support services to help you reach your educational goals. IRSC has been recognized as a top college by Military Advanced Education.
IRSC Veterans Services, a unit within the Office of Financial Aid, helps eligible student veterans, reservists and their dependents understand and apply for educational benefits in compliance with the procedures and regulations of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Students receiving veteran benefits may register for courses online or at any Indian River State College campus. Benefits will be awarded based on the regulations and policies of the VA Educational Benefit Program. Students must notify the IRSC Veterans Services Office at the time of registration that they intend to use veteran benefits, so that we may assist you with your course certifications. Late certifications will result in delay of benefit payments, so it is incumbent upon the student to ensure your certification is completed properly.
