Associate in Arts (A.A.) – two-year transferable degree that leads to a four-year Bachelor’s Degree (IRSC or university). You can only earn one A.A. Degree.
Associate in Science (A.S.) or Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) – two-year technical degrees that prepare students for immediate employment and are transferrable to an IRSC Bachelor’s Degree.
Technical (College-Credit) Certificate (ATD, TC) – generally a one-year certificate for students who complete specific required courses of an A.S. or A.A.S. Degree program. Students may earn a certificate while working towards an A.S. or A.A.S. Degree.
Advanced Technical Certificate (ATC) - a specialized certification in a technical area. Students must have previously earned an A.S. Degree.
Career Training (Vocational) Certificate (VC) - certificate that leads to a licensure or certification based on clock-hour credit rather than college credit.
Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) or Bachelor of Applied Science Degree (B.A.S) - a four-year undergraduate degree. Students must have previously earned an Associate Degree or higher.
Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) – a fast-track program leading to a teaching career for those with a Bachelor’s Degree in a field other than education.
Non-Degree Associate - for students that want to take Associate-level courses without seeking a degree.
Non-Degree Bachelor - for students that want to take Bachelor-level courses without seeking another degree. Must have previously earned an Associate Degree or higher.
