Learn the difference in being a leader and being a manager. Participants will be taught
the core leadership principles, discover how evolving work environments affect leadership,
and how to create an atmosphere of participation and productivity.
Supervisors learn how to achieve "buy-in" among employees and create an atmosphere
of enthusiasm for their position within the workplace. Everyone wins when employees
feel passionate about their jobs, are committed to the organization, and put discretionary
effort into their work.
Discover the importance of resolving conflict so productivity is not hindered and
goals are not subjugated. Identify the causes of conflict, how to avoid it, as well
as how to successfully manage both the inevitable workplace conflicts that arise and
the employees involved.
Develop and refine the skills necessary for effective organizational communications
through understanding oral, nonverbal and formal communication skills. Identify, develop
and overcome barriers to effective communication, and practice effective listening
skills.
Create an atmosphere in which all employees are motivated to give their best each
day. Utilize the techniques to build an effective team that stays engaged, enthusiastic,
invested in their work and committed to the goals and values that move the organization
forward.
Achieve greater productivity through organization of workspace and time. Learn how
to identify and prioritize the most important elements of work for greater impact
and results; address distractions, procrastination and multi-tasking; increase efficiency
and eliminate waste.
Through the use of assessments, participants will learn how to to understand, use,
and manage their own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively,
empathize with others, overcome challenges, defuse conflict, and promote teamwork.
Learn how to identify diversity, including generational, cultural, physical, personal
and emotional differences, and how behaviors are stereotyped. More importantly understand
the advantages of valuing those differences and how to welcome and work in a diversified
environment.
Helps participants understand how to be an asset rather than a liability, as well
as a basic understanding of the law and organizational policies. Leaders are taught
how to distinguish among illegal, impermissible, and inappropriate conduct and promote
and maintain a respectful workplace.
Participants will be introduced to the skills needed to navigate and operate Microsoft
Excel in a working environment. These include manging the worksheet, basic functions
and formulas, conditional formatting, and charts. Actual skill level taught will be
comensurate with attendees ability.
This advanced class focuses on tables, pivot tables, macros, formulas and functions
to perform calculations on cell data. Make your Spread Sheets work for you - Bring
your files on a flash drive and customize them right in class and learn to utilize
Excel to maximum advantage.
Students learn how to de-escalate any situation quickly and efficiently; how to be
in the presence of strong emotion and say exactly the right thing in exactly the right
way in exactly the right moment; minimize arguments; take insults and provocations
without losing control or composure.
Changing times have us pulled in multiple directions. The pressures and demands between
work and personal life are blurred. This class shares stress tools to manage stress
and create a more pleasant, harmonious and functional workplace.
