IRSC to Host Public Services Career Expo on February 3

FORT PIERCE—Indian River State College (IRSC) will host a Career Expo for Public Service Professionals on February 3, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex, 4600 Kirby Loop Road, in Fort Pierce.

The free expo will take place in the Bailey Auditorium and is geared toward students and other members of the community who are looking for jobs in the public sector. The event features representatives from 30 public service employers from around Florida. Representatives from both civil and certified first responder employers will be on site. First responder organizations will display tactical equipment and vehicles during the event.
A partial list of the participating employers includes sheriff’s offices from Broward, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Indian River, Seminole, and Jacksonville counties; police departments from Boynton Beach, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Florida Atlantic University, Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce; fire and rescue departments from Brevard, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Indian River counties; the St. Lucie Board of County Commissioners; and the Florida Department of Corrections, among others.
Participants are encouraged to “dress to impress” and bring along copies of their resumes. Staff from IRSC Career Services will be in attendance to offer information and answer questions.
