Edwin G. Landy Named December 2018 Staff Employee of the Month

Indian River State College recognizes Port St. Lucie resident Edwin Landy as the December 2018 Staff Employee of the Month. Edwin joined the IRSC family first in February of 1998 when he was hired as a part-time Instructional Aide for the Natural Sciences and again when he was rehired in October 2014 as a part-time Grants and Contracts Accountant. In February 2016 he was promoted to a full-time position as Workday Support Specialist and in August 2018 to his present role as Workday Financial System Analyst on the Enterprise Systems team.
In his position as Workday Financial System Analyst, Edwin is a tremendous help to the College. He daily assists both Human Resources and Finance with their Workday needs—never hesitant to help and assist end users when needed. Those who work with Edwin know that no matter what else he may be involved with during his day, he takes the time to stop what he is working on to help resolve an issue. Edwin is known as a hard worker who is willing to put in whatever hours are necessary, lending his smile and good attitude to whatever project is assigned. His accounting and Workday knowledge are extensive, and his troubleshooting abilities have been responsible for helping understand and improve processes using the system.
Those who work with Edwin readily share how he positively impacts the College each day. One employee says, “Edwin is truly the most positive employee that I know. Another states, “I have never seen Edwin pass the buck. If he does not have a solution, he will research and troubleshoot until he comes up with one.” Finally one co-worker shares, “I hope Edwin is recognized as Employee of the Month, so that he will know how much we appreciate all that he does!”
