Molly Bartels Named June 2019 Staff Employee of the Month

Indian River State College recognizes Jensen Beach resident Molly Bartels as the June 2019 Staff Employee of the Month. Molly joined the IRSC team in April of 2017 as the Graphic Arts/Photography Specialist, adding her talent and expertise in visual storytelling to the Institutional Advancement team.
Working as an IRSC photographer means being an ambassador for the College each and every day. Though Molly is often hidden behind the camera, she is often the face of IRSC in classrooms, at athletic events, during campus activities, on job sites and wherever—and whenever—she is on assignment to visually document College events and activities. Whether she is working on or off campus, Molly has an uncomplicated style that puts people at ease. While photographing people to portray their success stories, her friendliness and knowledge makes people glad that they are associated with IRSC. She has the “will to be the best” and displays a work ethic that exemplifies the College culture that signals to students and the community, “I will go the distance for you.”
Molly’s co-workers readily share how her passion for her work and her commitment to quality impact the image of the institution and our students’ success. One co-worker shares, “Molly is a joy to work with. She is a self-starter who isn’t afraid to take risks or initiative.” Another states, “Molly cares deeply about the students she works with daily. That that shows in the quality of her work, and how she excels in sharing their story through photography in a way that connects with any audience. Finally, another co-worker adds, “With her extensive background in photojournalism, Molly reminds IA to find the story in every project. These stories are what resonate with our audience and capture their authentic attention. Our team excels because of her constant reminders and tireless efforts.”
