Jennifer Neubauer Named March 2018 Staff Employee of the Month

Vero Beach resident Jennifer Neubauer, Administrative Assistant I, Advanced Technology Division, is being recognized as the Indian River State College March Employee of the Month. Jennifer first joined the IRSC family in 2007 working part-time in the RiverShop Bookstore as a Clerk. In 2011 she became a full-time RiverShop employee working as Head Cashier. In 2014 she earned a promotion to Cashier and Customer Service Representative I, and in 2015 she moved to the Advanced Technology Division to be a Career Planning Specialist. In June 2015 Jennifer accepted the position of Administrative Assistant I – Advanced Technology, working with Dr. Kevin Cooper, the Assistant Dean of Advanced Technology where she now assists Dr. Cooper and the entire Advanced Technology Division in serving our students and advancing the institution’s goals.
Those who work with Jennifer closely know her number one priority is helping students. She has a tremendous knowledge base about Advanced Technology programs – both the programs and the people. Her in-depth knowledge has been an immense help with student success. By knowing the people in the division, their personalities, their strengths, and how best to work with them, she has developed an ability to help students’ success in their academic purists by intuitively pairing them with faculty in which they can readily understand and communicate. Jennifer has always embraced a variety of work in Advanced Technology as well. She works with grants, economic development projects, reports and many other areas critical to the advancement of the department.
The people who work daily with Jennifer happily share how she contributes to the positive culture of the College. One such co-worker shares, “Jen is incredibly resourceful and well connected within the IRSC community and with our community partners.” Another states, “She always take the time to help, no matter how large or small the request.” Finally one co-worker states, “Jen is always pleasant to work with, regardless of who she is dealing with, and instills a confidence in IRSC the way the best employees do!”
