IRSC School of Nursing Grand Opening

According to the Florida Hospital Association, by 2035, the Florida will have 59,100 fewer nurses than it requires. In direct response to this workforce crisis, Indian River State College has repurposed more than 50,521 square feet of space at Pruitt Campus in Port St. Lucie into high-tech nursing classrooms and simulated clinical settings.

The public is invited to attend the IRSC School of Nursing Grand Opening (500 N.W. California Blvd.) on Tuesday, August 8, at 10:00 a.m. The event site, Building G, is one of two structures renovated to improve access to nursing careers for students, addressing local and state workforce demands.

The transformation into technologically advanced nursing classrooms and simulated clinical settings was informed by Harvard Jolly Architecture—one of the largest firms in Florida with expertise in healthcare architecture and interior design—and constructed by Proctor Construction.
