PERFORMING AND
VISUAL ARTS PROGRAMS
Bring your creativity to life and hone your talent at Indian River State College. We offer associate degree programs in music and theatre—and plenty of performance opportunities.

The arts are alive at Indian River State College. Not only do we offer exciting focus areas in music and dramatic arts/theatre, we also serve as a cultural hub for the region with several staged productions each year.
Our associate degree programs offer a strong foundation in theory and plenty of hands-on learning opportunities, including one-on-one lessons and ensembles. Program tracks include:
Through electives, students can customize their A.A. Degree to fit their goals and interests. For example, a dramatic arts/theatre student can pursue dance courses and music students can focus music education or a specific instrument.
Students in other programs can also participate in the arts through elective classes and performance opportunities.
Career Opportunities: After Graduation
Many of our performing arts students continue to hone their craft in a bachelor’s degree program. Others go right into creative careers in entertainment and media. They work for amusement parks, cruise lines, theater companies, music studios and digital media outlets.

Performance Opportunities
Join the cast, crew, or orchestra for one of our musical or theatre productions—or participate in a number of other performance opportunities on campus.
Music Ensembles
Join one of our performing ensembles, such as Chamber Winds, Symphonic Band, Theatre Orchestra or Jazz Combo.
