Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating

This program prepares students to seek employment as a HVAC technician assistant who assists in the maintanance and installation of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems in residential or commercial buildings.

Business

This program prepares students for an entry level job as an accounting technology specialist. Accounting technology specialists are prepared for entry-level office work as an accounting or book keeping clerk and gain important experience in using data entry accounting software and the review and preparation of financial reports.

Commercial Vehicle Driving

This program prepares a student for entry-level employment as a truck driver. Students receive instruction regarding how to safely operate a commercial vehicle and which federal rules and regulations apply to their work. They receive one-on-one driver training instruction, and the preparation needed to acquire the class "A" CDL license.

This program prepares students for a career as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). EMTs  are able to assess injuries, administer emergency medical care and transport injured or sick persons to medical facilities. Upon completion of this program, students are prepared for entry level work in hospitals, surgery centers, or doctors' offices.

This program prepares a student for a career as a medical assistant. Under the direction of a physician, they take and record vital signs and medical histories, prepare patients for examination, draw blood, administer medications and injections, perform minor surgery, schedule appointments, maintain medical records and assist with billing and coding.

This program prepares a student for a career as a medical coder. Medical coders are educated to accurately compile, analyze, and maintain medical records consistent with the healthcare industry's numerical coding system. They work in hospitals, doctors' offices, surgery centers, or health care systems.

This program prepares a student for a career as a Nursing Assistant. Nursing assistants work with nursing and medical staff and are trained to identify and meet basic patient care needs for the safety, comfort and daily activities of patients―including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming and transporting them.

This program prepares students for a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.). L.P.N.s  are trained to work under the direction of doctors and registered nurses to assist with examining and treating patients. Graduates seek employment at a hospital, physician’s office, clinic, surgery center, nursing home, school system, private home or residential care facility after passing the National Council Licensure Examination.

  • Must be 18 years of age, successfully complete drug and background screening, and have a high school diploma and cumulative composite score of 75 on the HESI A2 Admission Exam Composite Score, as well in subcategories of Basic math and Anatomy and Physiology. 

This program prepares a student for a career as a pharmacy technician. Pharmacy technicians are vital members of the healthcare team—trained to prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist.Graduates of the IRSC Pharmacy Technician program take the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination and may seek employment in a retail pharmacy, hospital or nursing facility.

This program prepares students for an entry-level IT career as a help desk support technician. Students earn an accredited certificate that can lead to a standalone career in cyber security, data science, web development, or IT support.

The Information Technology Support Specialist program prepares students for a career in cyber security, data science, web development, IT support and related fields. Students will take courses in Website Development and Animation, Web and Java Programming, and introductions to E-Commerce and Computer Programming.
