LINCOLN PARK CAREER PATHWAYS INITIATIVE

Pursue a highly sought-after industry certification for free through the Lincoln Park Career Pathways Initiative.
This program is open to residents of the Lincoln Park community in Fort Pierce, Fla., with all eight-week classes conveniently held at the Blackburn Educational Building.
In addition to taking your certification classes for free, you may also be eligible for additional financial assistance to help with transportation, meal stipends and child care.
Available Training Programs
Three fast-track training programs are available through the Lincoln Park Career Pathways Initiative. All classes are eight weeks long and are held at the Blackburn Educational Building on Avenue D.
Fast Track to Manufacturing/Certified Production Technician
Gain the skills you need to work in advanced manufacturing and production as a certified production technician.
The certified production technician program includes both in-person classes and online learning. In this program, you’ll learn about:
- Safety
- Production processes
- Maintenance awareness
- Quality assurance
- Blueprint reading
- Measurement
- OSHA 10 certification requirements
Certified Logistic Associate
Understand the business of supply chain management and develop related skills for working in a complex warehouse environment as a certified logistic associate.
The certified logistic associate program includes both in-person classes and online learning, with classes that cover:
- Training in the warehouse and shipping supply chain environment
- Safety and safe equipment operation
- Material handling equipment
- Quality control
- Workplace communication, teamwork and problem-solving
- Using computers to assist with daily tasks
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Train as a certified nursing assistant to provide basic care in hospitals, nursing homes, physicians’ offices, clinics and in-home care in the certified nursing assistant program.
Learn essential nursing skills, such as:
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living
- Taking vital signs
- Monitoring and reporting patient activity
- Setting up medical equipment
- Assisting with medical procedures
- Providing physical, social and emotional support
When you graduate from this program, you are eligible to sit for certification in the State of Florida to become a certified nursing assistant.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for this program, you must be able to prove you live in the Lincoln Park community in Fort Pierce.
