Performance: Triumph of Love

Based on Marivaux’s delightful 1732 comedy of the same name, Triumph of Love is a charming, chamber musical that pits the heart against the mind in the age-old conflict of emotion vs. reason. In order to win the heart of her true love and restore the rightful heir to the throne, a resourceful Princess must take on multiple disguises and stay one step ahead of her sworn enemies.  As her clever ruses grow more complicated, the mistaken identities increase, as does the frenzied frivolity, until the climax of this zany, madcap comedy finally proves that love does indeed triumph over all. 

This outdoor production will take place in the McAlpin Gazebo.
