Student Engagement & Leadership (SEAL) and the Campus Coalition Government (CCG) would like to invite YOU to join us next week (February 28 – March 4) for Spirit Week.

Monday, February 28: Pioneer Proud Day (ALL DAY)

Show YOUR IRSC Pride by wearing your blue and gold or IRSC gear, then post a picture on social media and in the caption share something that you are most proud of from your experience here at IRSC with #IRSCProud. Follow us on Facebook @RiverLife.CCG and on Instagram @IRSCRiverLife

Pioneer Proud Celebration, 12:30–2:00 P.M. (River Shop Deck)

This employee/student mixer will make for a GREAT afternoon of building relationships and increasing IRSC Pride while recognizing our faculty, students, and CCG representatives of the month for this academic year. In addition, we will have games, activities, prizes, mocktails, and appetizers co-sponsored by the IRSC AFC Chapter, Natalie's Juice, and other local vendors.

Tuesday, March 1: Taco Mixer, 12:30–1:30 P.M., Student Engagement Center (on each campus)

Campus locations: Chastain (A-111), Dixon Hendry (B-Atrium), Massey (KSU 209), Mueller (D-147), Pruitt (J-111)

Students will engage in a series of taco themed icebreakers/activities while enjoying FREE tacos (while supplies last).

Virtual participants may join the fun by making tacos at home and sharing their results on social media! Follow this recipe: The Best Homemade Tacos or use your own, then post pictures with #IRSCMixer.

Wednesday, March 2: Spirit Bracelets, 2:00–3:00 P.M., Student Engagement Center (on each campus)

Join the Campus Coalition Government and the SEAL Team, as we mingle, network, and create IRSC spirit themed bracelets! FREE food and refreshments will be served.

Virtual students may request a kit to make their own bracelet at home by contacting StudentEngagement@irsc.edu. All orders must be requested by Monday, February 28. Kits will be sent to the student’s nearest IRSC campus and must be picked up in the Student Success Center on the Branch Campuses or Student Affairs on the Massey Campus.

Pruitt Campus Student Engagement Center Open House, 9:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M., J-111

Stop by the Center to mix and mingle with our students and show your IRSC Pride.

Thursday, March 3: River Walk, 12:30–1:30 P.M. (Meet at your respective Student Engagement Center)

Students and employees are encouraged to get MOVING and enjoy the great outdoors for a stroll around campus. Every campus will be hosting a walk, starting at their Student Engagement Center. Goodie bags with snacks will be given to in-person student participants.

Virtual participants may join in the fun via Instagram with our campus related River Walk Trivia LIVE! A random virtual participant will receive a prize.

Friday, March 4: Great Explorations “IRSC Block Party,” 8:30 A.M.–1:00 P.M. (W-Building Parking Lot)

Let’s show our local high school students that IRSC is the place to be! Not only do we offer more than 100 academic programs, but we provide top notch services to help students succeed here at IRSC and BEYOND while providing the BEST Student Experience…70+ clubs/organizations, 7 athletic teams, 1,600 events each year, 3 leadership programs, and so much more! #IRSCProud

During the event, stop by to see our student clubs/organizations in ACTION as they hold various of activities and fundraisers to support their mission. You won’t want to miss it!

All week Metz and the River Shop will be holding some #IRSCProud specials, so stop by and support our on-campus partners.

As we get ready for spring break and of course the dreaded spring cleaning, consider donating any new or gently used business attire to one of our Career Closets (benefitting students getting ready to enter the workforce), arts & crafts, board games/activities to engage students in campus recreation, and/or non-perishable food items for the Pioneer Pantry.
