High School Math Olympics

Students from area high schools in St. Lucie, Martin and Indian River counties compete in both an individual and team test. We are expecting about 11 schools to participate this year. Each school will bring a team of 4 students plus 1 alternate. 

The competition starts in the morning with an individual exam of 40 questions assessing mastery of algebra, geometry and trigonometry. The 10-question team competition follows with extra incentives for first responders.  

The individual winners win a two-year full scholarship to Indian River State College. The team winners win gift bags filled with books, office supplies, puzzles and snacks. In addition to rigorous competition, participants have the opportunity to network with college instructors and tour IRSC campus.
