50th Annual Leadership Conference

The Student Engagement & Leadership Team, PROUDLY invites YOU to attend our 50th Annual Leadership Conference, themed 50 Years of Thriving through GRIT, taking place on the Massey Campus in the Kight Center (V-Building located on 35^th Street in Ft. Pierce).

This AMAZING opportunity is designed to help you CONNECT, GET INVOLVED, LEAD, and SUCCEED here at IRSC and BEYOND! This one-day leadership experience is filled with networking opportunities, guest speakers, interactive workshops, and hands-on activities designed to help you increase your leadership skills and build your IRSC Pride. The conference kicks off our Emerging and Legacy Leaders Programs and is a requirement of each program to learn more about these programs visit RiverLife on MyPioneerPortal under Resources.

During the conference, we will have Rahz Slaughter as our keynote speaker. Rahz “The Motivator” Slaughter is a dynamic speaker who has spent years helping adolescents improve their mindsets and take charge of their lives. Born with a disability and raised by a single mother who suffered from addiction, Rahz has been labeled countless times and told that he had limitations, that there would be things that he could not do, be, or achieve.

Despite these messages, Rahz was born with a growth mindset and set out to create a life of his doing and not what others expected of him. Rahz Slaughter is a motivational speaker, dynamic workshop presenter, 3X author, and successful business owner. He is also a former college athlete, personal trainer, nutritionist, and teen life coach. In addition, Rahz is currently a student here at IRSC working on his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services in the Youth and Family Services track. Rahz has been featured on FOX, NBC, CBS, and has an Amazon Best Seller book titled “Student Success Secrets: Unlock The 7 Secrets For Developing Inspired, Motivated, and Success-Driven Teens.”

This is definitely a conference you won’t want to miss!

The conference is FREE to attend; however, we ask that ALL students attending bring two non-perishable food items to be donated to our Pioneer Pantry serving IRSC students in need. In addition, all participants must wear business casual (nice jeans are acceptable, but MUST not have any holes/tears—NO SHORTS OR FLIP FLOPS). Ladies please wear comfortable shoes as we will have an outdoor activity.
