SHIPWRECK AND SURVIVAL IN SEVENTEENTH-CENTURY FLORIDA

Dr. Jason Daniels explores his new book, Jonathan Dickinson’s Journal or God’s Protecting Providence: An Early American Castaway Narrative. This new edition contains a transcription of a previously unknown manuscript version of Dickinson’s journal that differs considerably from the published account, adding a significant amount of new ethnographic material regarding the indigenous peoples of Southeast Florida.
