Indian River State College's Living History Series, directed by Professor David Yankwitt, announces its Spring 2025 program featuring four distinguished speakers exploring topics from local history to global politics. 

"From Factions to Parties: James Madison's Insights and Modern Politics" 

Dr. David Purificato, Indian River State College Professor of History, explores James Madison’s arguments in Federalist No. 10 and examines how his concerns about factions relate to the modern two-party system in the U.S.
