The Indian River State College (IRSC) Foundation announces the Second Annual Pioneer 5K Run/Walk at the IRSC Pruitt Campus in St. Lucie West on Saturday, November 2 at 7:30 a.m. The Pioneer 5k Run/Walk offers an exceptional opportunity for both beginning and experienced runners—as well as for those just coming out to enjoy themselves—all in support of scholarships for IRSC students.
Mike Melton from MCM Timing & Results LLC will conduct official course operations and timing, and award presentations occur in several categories. The $30 registration includes event shirts and finisher awards for participants. All event proceeds support IRSC student scholarships.
“We are looking forward the Second Annual Pioneer 5K Run/Walk and the opportunity to support scholarships for IRSC students,” shares John Crowe, IRSC Alumni Development Coordinator. He continues, “Events like this go the extra mile supporting our students and invite members of our surrounding communities to learn about the great things going on at IRSC.”
Participants can create a new team or join a current team as well as find more information and register for the Pioneer 5k Run/Walk at irscfoundation.org/5k.
