The IRSC Foundation Pioneer 5k Run/Walk took place at the Pruitt Campus in St. Lucie West Saturday, November 2, giving both experienced and beginning runners an opportunity to come out and have a good time while contributing to the tremendous goal of raising funds for student scholarships.
John Crowe, IRSC Alumni Development Coordinator shares, “We were able to raise over $7,500 for student scholarships. Even with the rainy weather and course adjustment we had an increased number of participants. It’s great to see our community members come out and support our students!”
Organized by the IRSC Foundation, with Mike Melton from MCM Timing & Results LLC conducted official course operations and timing, the event welcomed 140 runners and walkers participated along with generous supporting community business sponsors and volunteers.
