Scholars Appointed to the All-Florida Academic Team

Ten high achieving students at Indian River State College (IRSC) were selected to the 2019 All-Florida Academic Team by the Florida College System in Tallahassee. All-Florida Academic Team honorees are nominated by the respective colleges to the All-USA Academic Team competition sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.

The honorees were chosen for their outstanding academic achievement, leadership and service to their communities, and will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Kissimmee on April 4. Each possesses a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average, and most are members of Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

IRSC recipients include Roman Romero and Saubrina Rondil of Fort Pierce; Katelyn Macias of Port St. Lucie; Mackenzie Abbott of Palm City; Jennifer Lombardino, Maria Roch and Michele Vergho of Sebastian; Jacqueline Zamora or Fellsmere; Kenzy Green of Middletown, Delaware; and Flavia Rusterholz of Rapperswil, Switzerland.

“It is a great honor to recognize this group of outstanding students and their commitment to excellence in academics, leadership and service to the community,” shared Dr. Edwin Massey, IRSC President. “These individuals are a tribute to student success at IRSC, and I look forward to following their future scholastic and professional endeavors.”
