IRSC Hosts Aspen Prize Watch Parties Tuesday, April 2

In anticipation of the announcement of the 2019 Aspen Prize, Indian River State College is inviting students, community members, and all College employees to watch parties hosted at each of its five Treasure Coast campuses on Tuesday, April 2 at noon. The celebratory events feature food, festivities, and the event live-stream from Washington, D.C.

- Dixon Hendry Campus, Okeechobee: B-Building Atrium
- Mueller Campus, Vero Beach: Schumann Center Lobby
IRSC has earned the distinction of being a Top-10 Finalist for the prestigious Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, an honor that recognizes outstanding achievements in the areas of completion & transfer, labor market outcomes, learning, equity and more. IRSC has been a finalist three times—in 2015, 2017 and 2019. In 2017, the College was recognized as a Finalist with Distinction, ranking among the top three colleges for that award cycle.
The $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, is awarded every two years by the Aspen Institute’s College Excellence Program. It is the nation’s signature recognition of high achievement and performance among America’s community colleges.
