Autumn Scares Fall Festival Returns at IRSC
October 4, 2019 Kelly Hogan
Indian River State College (IRSC) welcomes community members to its Autumn Scares Fall Festival on Friday, October 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex located at 4600 Kirby Loop Road in Fort Pierce.
Can you handle what IRSC students have conjured for the scariest haunted house on the Treasure Coast?
The Campus Coalition Government, Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society, Criminal Justice Club, and International Club are teaming up to provide an evening of fright and Halloween delight at this all-ages, family-friendly event. Costumes are encouraged, though full-face masks and weapons (whether real or fake) are not permitted.
Trunk-or-treat will kick off the event from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a costume contest—both of which are open to participants of all ages. The haunted house, hailed as the scariest on the Treasure Coast, will run the duration of the event and is open to participants age 10 and older (under 16 must be accompanied by an adult). The house is comprised of six haunted rooms in addition to enchanted hallways and a spooky outdoor area.
The haunted house will also be open Saturday, October 26, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Admission is free, though nominal donations of up to $5 are requested for different activities. Donations will support educational scholarships at IRSC. Students should bring their IRSC ID to receive discounts.
