A Treasure Coast holiday tradition continues as Indian River State College (IRSC) hosts the 39th Annual Holiday Bazaar—formerly called the DECA Bazaar—Saturday, November 16, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the IRSC Main Campus at 3209 Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce. Hundreds of craft and gift items including holiday decorations, toys, fabric, and more can be found at the bazaar. The event also features food trucks and live music.
IRSC business students plan, coordinate and organize the event featuring over 100 vendors and nearly 1,000 attendees. The popular annual bazaar provides an opportunity for IRSC students to apply various skills learned in the classroom.
Other fundraising activities include the annual Interior Design Tag Sale located in the Koblegard Student Union. This sale features accessories to beautify any home for the holidays—including holiday fabrics, design displays and consultation.
A portion of all proceeds raised by IRSC student activities will benefit the President’s Challenge Scholarship Fund. Administered through the IRSC Foundation, the fund provides full two-year scholarships to financially disadvantaged students who maintain good grades and complete high school.
