The Indian River State College (IRSC) Honors Program is a tailored, challenging opportunity for academically gifted, intellectually curious, and deeply passionate students who aspire to become leaders on the IRSC campus and in their further academic pursuits and chosen professional fields.
High school and college students with strong academic performance are invited to attend at Honors Program Information Session Tuesday, November 13, at 5:30 p.m. at the Kight Center for Emerging Technologies, on the IRSC Main Campus located at 3209 Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce.
Students and their parents will learn about unique opportunities for students to enhance their education and develop core skills at the heart of academic and professional success. Attendees will hear from the Honors Program coordinator, Honors faculty and Honors students to gain a deeper understanding of what the program has to offer students in their academic journeys.
“At the Information Session, students will discover firsthand how to ‘Find their Future’ with the IRSC Honors Program,” shares Dr. Sarah Mallonee, IRSC English Professor who coordinates the College’s Honors Program. “They will find out how the IRSC Honors Program can benefit their education goals and prospects.”
Admission to the IRSC Honors Program requires one of the following: a cumulative GPA of 3.3 for a minimum of 12 college credits, a composite ACT score of 26, a composite verbal and math SAT score of 1100, or a P.E.R.T. score of 350 or higher.
