Indian River State College (IRSC) invites students and the public to attend free activities celebrating International Education Week on Nov. 5, 6, 7 and 8—with events at the IRSC Main Campus at 3209 Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce and IRSC branch campuses.

Activities begin with Cultural Diversity Day on Tuesday, November 7, featuring a Parade of Nations, as students march down the Main Campus walk-way with flags from their country of origin. The event will continue with music and dancing from around the world from noon to 2 p.m. in the Koblegard Student Union (KSU). Information on IRSC Study Abroad trips will also be shared.

International Fest is planned for Tuesday, November 6, in the KSU from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The event features a cultural food tasting, art, must, games, and trivia that will enlighten and inform participants on international culture. IRSC faculty members will participate in the Global Economics Panel Wednesday, November 7 at 5:30 p.m. in Room V110 at the Kight Center for Emerging Technologies. The topic for the panel is “Tariffs and Trade: The Impact on the U.S. Economy.” The event is sponsored by the Center for Applied Economics, Community Series, with Dr. Samuel Mikhail serving as moderator.

The College’s annual Veteran’s Panel will be held on Thursday, November 8, at the Schreiber Conference Center at the Pruitt Campus, 500 N.W. California Blvd., Port St. Lucie. Veterans from various conflicts will share their overseas experiences. Doors open at 10 a.m. for a meet and greet, followed by the Panel Discussion from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Additional activities will be held at each of the four IRSC branch campuses. Check www.irsc.edu and the IRSC Facebook page for dates, times and details on branch campus International Education Week events and activities.
