“These outstanding IRSC students connected with an audience of more than 600 seasoned professionals attending HI-TEC on how to generate interest in STEM fields among young women and teens like them,” states Kevin Cooper, IRSC Executive Director of Innovation and Business Development. “It was exhilarating to see our students present and share their passion for STEM issues and earn a standing ovation from conference participants.”

Supported by the National Science Foundation’s Advanced Technological Education (NSF ATE) program, HI-TEC is a national conference on advanced technological education where secondary and postsecondary educators, counselors, industry professionals, trade organizations, and technicians can update their knowledge and skills.

Based on engagement and audience response, the IRSC students now have invitations from the Department of Energy and the Department of Waste Management to present at upcoming conferences. We proud of these IRSC Pioneers!
