Indian River State College invites students and employees to enjoy an evening at the ballpark as the Olympic Baseball Qualifier is hosted at Clover Park in Port St. Lucie from May 31 to June 5. As the event’s Education Partner IRSC students and employees can show their ID at the Box Office at Clover Park to receive $5 off their ticket.
There are two games each day on May 31, June 1 and June 2, and the “Super Round” games are on June 5. IRSC President Dr. Timothy Moore will throw out the first pitch at the 7:00 p.m. game on May 31. The evening will feature a variety of tributes to our veterans and military service personnel.
The teams are competing to qualify for one spot in the Tokyo Summer Olympic Games. For the full schedule and listing of countries participating in the qualifier, visit https://oaqbaseball.com/.
In addition to the Olympic Baseball Qualifier at Clover Park, Play Treasure Coast and the Puerto Rican Association for Hispanic Affairs have partnered to sponsor a free community program prior to the game on Saturday, May 31. The event features music, food, family activities and jumbotron to view the game. It takes place in Port St. Lucie at the South County Regional Sports Complex at 560 N.W.
