More than 300 guests were able to spread out in socially distanced comfort around the gazebo located on the Massey Campus green just outside the McAlpin Center for Performing Arts. The unique venue served as stage for the theatre in-the-round production—the first musical performance for patrons by the College’s storied performing arts program since shows were cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Many of our patrons shared with us that this was the first time they have been out to see anything since last March and expressed their appreciation for the outdoor performance,” stated Becky Shearer, IRSC Theatre Manager. “We are so pleased to know they enjoyed the new material and the remarkable talent demonstrated by our students to pull off such challenging material.”
