IRSC Announces Virtual Auditions for Performing Arts Programs
April 7, 2020 Kelly Hogan
Although Indian River State College (IRSC) physical campuses are temporarily closed in response to Coronavirus concerns, the IRSC Performing Arts Program has announced virtual auditions for its scholarship programs. High school seniors and graduates are invited to audition by April 30, 2020, for programs that start in August.
"For more than 40 years IRSC performing arts students have shared their passion for
the arts through the McAlpin Performing Arts Program. We are moving forward with virtual
auditions to help ensure that we’re ready to provide the same accessibility to the
Arts for new IRSC students ready to join our program this Fall,” shares Rebecca Shearer,
IRSC Theatre Manager.
The programs accepting auditions include Instrumental Music (string, brass, woodwind and percussion); Theatre, Dance or Technical Theatre; and Vocal Music.
