Indian River State College, St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce to Host State of the College Luncheon

Fort Pierce, FL (March 25, 2025) – The Indian River State College Foundation and St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce will host the State of the College Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, at the Indian River State College Eastman Advanced Workforce Training Complex in Building O, 3209 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce. Business leaders, educators and community members are invited to learn about the College's latest initiatives, economic impact, workforce partnerships and student success stories highlighting how the college prepares the future workforce. 

The State of the College address will feature updates from Indian River State College President Timothy Moore and College leaders, including Provost Dr. Heather Belmont, Vice President of Research and Governmental Relations Angela Browning, Vice President for Student Success Elizabeth Gaskin, and Vice President of Institutional Advancement Annabel Robertson. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of how Indian River State College is creating pathways for student achievement and strengthening the Treasure Coast region’s economy. Proceeds will benefit the Indian River State College Promise Program, which provides tuition-free associate degrees to local students, and the St. Lucie County Chamber's Young Floridian Scholarship Program for outstanding high school seniors. 

For the first time, the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce will recognize the Firefighter of the Year alongside their longstanding tradition of honoring outstanding law enforcement officers. Indian River State College, which trains first responders at its Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex, is honored to help celebrate local first responders. The College’s public safety graduates serve in police and fire departments throughout Florida, demonstrating the College's commitment to first responder education.
