IRSC Honors Veterans at Pruitt Campus Event November 10

The Department of Military & Veterans Service and Indian River State College Celebrated Veterans during a special celebration on Wednesday, November 10 at the IRSC Pruitt Campus in Port St. Lucie to honor all students, staff, faculty, and community members who are Veterans.
The event was highlighted by, special presentations honoring our Veterans. special guest speaker Navy Rear Admiral (Ret.) Rick Grant, refreshments and cookout lunch.
Pruitt Campus President Andy Treadwell also announced that SouthState—one of the leading regional banks in the Southeast—has become the Founding Sponsor for the IRSC Veterans Center of Excellence (VCE) Wall of Honor. The commemorative wall will provide a permanent place to honor and recognize veterans at the VCE’s home on the IRSC Pruitt Campus in Port St. Lucie.
Additionally, WWII Veteran is Staff Sergeant Ray Glansberg was recognized with a special Veteran Pinning Ceremony in collaboration with Treasure Coast Hospice. Staff Sergeant Glansberg celebrates his 100th birthday this Novmeber. Also honored at the pinning ceremony was WWII Veteran Lt. Col. Robert Friese, USAF who was unable to attend.
