Erika Strowbridge is the May 2022 Team Member of the Month

Fort Pierce resident Erika Strowbridge is the Indian River State College May 2022 Team Member of the Month. Erika joined the IRSC family in June 2006, working as a Student Activities Specialist before her promotion to Coordinator of Student Activities in May 2018. She then served as an Online Student Specialist before taking on her newest role in Advising and Career Services as an Advisor Specialist I, starting in March 2022.
As part of the Advising team, Erika daily works with IRSC students to ensure successful progress towards degree completion. Her cheerful demeanor and positive attitude provide a powerful example for the students and employees she works with. Erika is known for her willingness to volunteer and assist her fellow employees. Recent examples of her outstanding service include work at the Swim Meet this March, service on the Spring 2022 Graduation Committee, and work with the Admissions and Recruitment team on multiple on-campus and off-campus events. Erika once shared in a conversation with her co-workers that she loves to learn new things and is most excited when she is learning—a fine example to set for students at a learning institution like IRSC.
Those who work with Erika eagerly share how she goes “above and beyond” to ensure student success. “Erika is a pleasure to work with and does whatever she can to help administrators, faculty, staff, and students succeed. She is a huge asset to this College,” shares one such co-worker. They continue stating, “Erika could be called our IRSC Spirit Hero! She is friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable, and willing to go above and beyond. She is always smiling and has a wonderful caring heart with the students and employees.”
