All online courses are designed with a personal touch by expert faculty members. Courses in our online degree programs are also nationally certified through Quality Matters.
Technical Resources & Support for Online Students
IRSC uses Canvas as its primary Learning Management System. Here’s how to get the access and support you need, as well as additional tech-related help.
Canvas Mobile App | Access courses and groups using your mobile device. From the app, you can submit assignments, participate in discussions, view grades and access course materials. The app also provides access to course calendars, to-do items, notifications and messages. View the Canvas Student App Quick Start Guide to set up the app on your phone. |
Canvas Support | Get technical support for Canvas 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via chat or at 877- 253-1481. On-campus tech support is available from the Student Help Desk on Massey and Pruitt campuses. |

MyPioneerPortal Log-in and Password Help | MyPioneerPortal allows online students to manage and conveniently access all IRSC web applications through a single, secure page. Self-service password reset can be performed by clicking the “Need help signing in?” link and then clicking the “Forget password?” link. Watch this short video and select the section titled “Reset Password in MyPioneerPortal. |

Tutoring Center | Tutoring Centers offer free tutoring and workshops, test preparation, the ability to borrow resources, and more. The Tutoring Centers can also review your paper through Ask Us! Upload your writing submission and receive tutor feedback and strategy via email. |
Free Online Tutoring | IRSC offers free online tutoring and academic support services for most subjects 24 hours a day, seven days a week through Brainfuse. Additionally, expert guidance can help improve your writing, from essays to resumes. |
The River Libraries | IRSC librarians can help you through all stages of the research process, including finding sources for any project and reviewing your paper for citation formats (APA, MLA, etc.). There are libraries on each IRSC campus. To contact a librarian, email library@irsc.edu or text 772-410-5662. |
Virtual Proctoring | Online classes will have one or more virtually proctored assessments. In most online classes, the virtually proctored assessment(s) will be administered via Honorlock virtual proctoring. |
The River Student Handbook | The IRSC Student Handbook and Planner provides a variety of information, including the academic calendar, policies and procedures, campus locations, safety and security, and more. |
