IRSC Helps Students Find Money for College with Financial Aid Workshops

June 30, 2021 Melanie Coppola

Indian River State College (IRSC) is helping students find money for college through Financial Aid Workshops, taking place throughout the month of July on all five of the IRSC campuses. IRSC Financial Aid staff will answer questions and help students apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students and parents are asked to bring their completed 2019 tax return (if required to file) and W-2 forms, and parents should accompany their dependent students to the workshop.

“Indian River State College is proud that 91% of our students graduate debt-free, and our goal is to increase that to 100% of students,” stated Emily Mass, IRSC Administrative Director of Recruitment and Admissions. “Our dedication to removing financial barriers is critical in helping students stay the course to achieve their higher educational goals.”

The College’s Financial Aid office wants recent high school graduates and parents to know that starting this Fall, the Florida Bright Futures Medallion Scholarship covers 100% of tuition and applicable fees at IRSC. Besides Bright Futures, IRSC offers a variety of scholarships to fit each student’s individual needs through the IRSC Foundation, and financial aid staff will touch on these and other forms of aid at the workshops.
