Indian River State College to Host 2026 and 2028 NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships

Fort Pierce, FL (February 13, 2025) – Indian River State College has been selected by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) to host the NJCAA Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in 2026 and 2028. The national championships will be held at Indian River State College's state-of-the-art aquatics complex on the main campus, with the 2026 event scheduled for March 4-7 and the 2028 championships set for March 1-4.

The Indian River State College aquatics complex features comprehensive facilities for both swimming and diving events, including a 25-yard x 25-meter pool with a diving well and maxi flex boards, as well as a 50-meter x 25-yard swimming pool. The College's experience hosting major swimming events, most recently demonstrated by the successful organization of the 2024 Swimming and Diving Championships, positions Indian River State College as an ideal venue for these prestigious competitions.

NJCAA Swimming and Diving Committee Chair Steve Mullen praised Indian River State College's selection, noting, "Indian River State College has had a long and successful history of hosting the NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The support that the College and community give to the championships makes it a very special week for all participating student-athletes and coaches."

Indian River State College Head Swimming Coach Sion Brinn expressed enthusiasm about hosting the championships: "As a program that has consistently championed excellence in collegiate swimming and diving, we're thrilled to once again welcome the nation's top junior college athletes to our facilities. These championships are more than just competitions – they're celebrations of athletic achievement and team spirit that showcase the very best of collegiate swimming and diving." 

The Indian River State College swimming and diving program has secured 50 consecutive men's swimming and diving national championships, and 46 women's national titles.
