Three Information Sessions Scheduled for Indiantown High School

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla.—Indian River State College (IRSC) has scheduled three open house information sessions in December and January in Martin County so that parents, students and other community members may learn more about Indiantown High School. The school is a new public charter high school focusing on career and workforce education and is operated by IRSC in partnership with the Martin County School District.

Information sessions are scheduled for:

  • Tuesday, December 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room at Elisabeth Lahti Library*, 15200 S.W. Adams Ave., Indiantown.
  • Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Donohue Community Room at the Peter & Julie Cummings Library*, 2551 S.W. Matheson Ave., Palm City.
  • Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Johnson Auditorium at the Wolf Building C at IRSC’s Chastain Campus, 2400 S.E. Salerno Road, Stuart.

Team members from Indiantown High School and Indian River State College will provide a presentation and host a question and answer session after the presentation. Spanish translations will be provided.

Indiantown High School opened on August 10, 2022, serving Grade 9 students in temporary classrooms at the Boys & Girls Club of Indiantown, offering programs that meet Florida’s public high school graduation requirements, along with career and technical certifications and college-level Dual Enrollment opportunities. The 60,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art building is under construction on Southwest Citrus Boulevard and is slated to be completed in July, 2023, opening in August for students in Grades 9 and 10. Students entering Grade 11 will be admitted in the 2024-25 school year, and students entering Grade 12 will be admitted in 2025-26.
