Vero Beach resident Jasmine Bell Morgan is the Indian River State College June 2023 Team Member of the Month. Jasmine started at IRSC in January 2019, joining the Financial Aid team, where she now serves as a Financial Aid Advisor.
Since joining the Financial Aid team at IRSC, Jasmine has built her reputation as an effective administrator skilled in enlisting the support of her co-workers and team members to ensure the projects she is involved with effectively align with the College’s mission and goals. Jasmine is highly organized and efficient—excelling in fast-paced environments. Her ability to effectively prioritize her work to accomplish objectives with creativity is unsurpassed. Jasmine utilizes these gifts to effectively present vital information to a wide variety of audiences.
Jasmine has a great capacity to relate well with diverse populations, and she thrives in a team environment. Jasmine is regularly involved with a bevy of student events such as Financial Aid information sessions, work-study conferences and IRSC Discover Days—furthering her continual pursuit to connect IRSC students with opportunities at the College.
In addition to her duties as Financial Aid Coordinator, Jasmine works with Federal Work-Study students at IRSC. She helps many students connect with what may be their first jobs. Last semester Jasmine organized the Work-Study Pioneer Conference—a successful and educational event for many prospective Work-Study students to learn more about the options and opportunities of being an IRSC student.
The students and colleagues Jasmine works with best speak to her commitment to the success of IRSC students. “Jasmine is a person who always puts herself in the student’s place when it comes to providing help,” shares one such individual. They continue, adding, “Jasmine is dedicated to her work and a good companion. From the moment I met her, she has been like an angel. I have learned many things about IRSC thanks to her unconditional support!”
