Record Attendance at Indian River State College Spring Career Expo Demonstrates Strong Community Partnerships

Fort Pierce, FL (February 19, 2025) – Indian River State College celebrated unprecedented success at its Spring Career Expo
this week, drawing 496 documented attendees—the highest attendance figure in recent
history. The event, presented by the College and sponsored by Enterprise Mobility,
connected students with 45 leading employers across diverse industries.An Indian River State College student explores potential career paths at the College’s

"The remarkable turnout at this year's Career Expo reflects our commitment to providing exceptional career opportunities for our students," said Indian River State College President Dr. Timothy Moore. "By bringing together nearly 500 job seekers with dozens of premier employers, we're fulfilling our mission of preparing a skilled workforce for the Treasure Coast region's growing economy."
As the Treasure Coast's primary workforce education provider, Indian River State College plays a key role in regional economic development. The College's comprehensive programs, ranging from workforce certifications to four-year degrees, directly align with industry needs and employment opportunities. Through strategic partnerships with local employers and targeted workforce initiatives, Indian River State College ensures that graduates are equipped with the skills and credentials needed to meet the evolving demands of high-growth sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, public safety, and technology.
Calvin Williams, Associate Vice President of Advising and Career Services, emphasized the event's impact: "The diversity of employers and career opportunities available at this expo demonstrates the breadth of talent our Indian River State College students bring to the workforce. From healthcare and public safety to manufacturing and technology, our students are prepared to excel in any field."
The expo featured prominent organizations including The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology, Martin County Sheriff's Office, Daher Aerospace, A-1 Industries, and Carr, Riggs & Ingraham. Employers represented the following key industries:

Participating employers reported high engagement levels with attendees and praised the quality of interactions. Several organizations have identified promising candidates for current job openings, with many expecting to make employment offers in the coming weeks.
The Spring Career Expo featured Enterprise Mobility as the presenting sponsor, focusing on opportunities in Arts, Humanities, Communications and Design, and Business.
