PUBLIC NOTICE OF TITLE VI PROGRAM RIGHTS

Indian River State College (IRSC) is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program, service, or activity receiving Federal financial assistance on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, consistent with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and applicable Federal regulations, including 49 C.F.R. Part 21 and 49 C.F.R. Part 303.
IRSC further commits to administering all federally assisted programs and activities in a manner that promotes equal access and prohibits discrimination consistent with applicable Federal civil rights requirements.
The College designates its Title IX Coordinator and Equity Officer to serve as the Title VI Program Coordinator for purposes of implementing and monitoring Title VI compliance related to federally funded programs and activities.
The Title VI Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing implementation of IRSC’s Title VI Program, coordinating complaint intake and resolution procedures, maintaining required documentation, supporting training activities, monitoring compliance activities, and serving as the primary point of contact for Title VI matters related to FMCSA grant-funded activities.
The President delegates sufficient responsibility and authority to the Title VI Program Coordinator and appropriate College administrators to effectively implement, monitor, and enforce the College’s Title VI Program.
IRSC maintains a Title VI Program Assurance applicable to all federally assisted programs and activities. The College assures that all FMCSA-funded activities will be administered in compliance with Title VI requirements and applicable nondiscrimination obligations.
