Spring registration at Indian River State College (IRSC) opens for all students on Tuesday, October 29. Students are encouraged to register early to ensure they have the best selection of courses to choose from and are ready for class this Spring. Classes for the 16-week full-term and eight-week Spring A semesters start Wednesday, January 8, and Express Schedule courses start on January 22. Spring B eight-week classes will begin on Monday, March 2. Students are encouraged to view the Spring term course schedule at www.irsc.edu prior to registration.
Offering more than 100 programs leading to Bachelor’s Degrees, Associate Degrees, Technical Certificates and Applied Technology Diplomas, IRSC is for everyone! Students can choose educational options that range from Quick Job Career Training (developing skills in a year or less) to four-year Baccalaureate Degree programs.
Identified by the United States Department of Education as the most affordable college in Florida and the third-most affordable college in the country, tuition at IRSC is 40% less than public universities and thousands of dollars less than private universities and career colleges or institutes. Approximately $40 million in financial aid and scholarship programs is awarded to students annually, and in a recent report by U.S. News and World Report shares that 91% of IRSC students graduate without debt.
Five IRSC campuses are within a 20-minute drive for every Treasure Coast and Okeechobee County resident, and through its Virtual Campus, students may choose from hundreds of online courses. Evening, and weekend course offerings are available on all campuses in response to working adults seeking to advance their careers.
Indian River State College is the 2019 winner of the prestigious Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, an honor that recognizes outstanding quality in the areas of completion and transfer, labor market outcomes, learning, equity, and more. Ninety-six percent of IRSC graduates are either employed or continue their studies shortly after graduation.
