THE RIVER CAN HELP YOU…

  • Qualify to be a CAD Technician.
  • Design for surveying, architectural, electrical, aeronautical, civil and mechanical engineering firms, as well as county offices and manufacturing plants, among other entities.

Drafting and Design Technology

Technical Certificate

Our Drafting and Design Technology program gives you the tools to do just that, with all the training  you need to be a successful CAD technician. Whether you’re starting fresh or looking to shift careers, this hands-on program prepares you to thrive in industries like architecture, construction, engineering, landscape design and manufacturing.

You’ll learn to create precise technical drawings using both traditional drafting methods and the latest computer-aided design (CAD) software. Our program covers real-world skills employers want—like reading blueprints, mastering AutoCAD, and understanding design standards used across Florida and beyond.

Classes are led by experienced professionals who understand the needs of working adults. Coursework includes exercises that apply to architecture, civil engineering, surveying, mechanical engineering and landscape design, with emphasis in the latest technologies used for rendering, architectural “walk-through,” three-dimensional computer animation, and solid and surface modeling.

Upon completion of the program, you’ll receive a certificate that serves as an important credential to your future employers.
