Governor Appoints Six to the Indian River State College District Board of Trustees

FORT PIERCE, FL—On Friday, December 9, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Vicki Davis, Christa Luna, Dr. Madhu Sasidhar, and Joseph Brantley Schirard Jr. to the Indian River State College District Board of Trustees. He also reappointed Dr. Melissa Kindell (Okeechobee County) and Milo Thornton (Indian River County) for another term.
“We are grateful for Governor DeSantis’ confidence in our resolve to become the highest-quality, lowest-cost educational enterprise in Florida,“ said IRSC President Dr. Timothy Moore. “Through these appointments and reappointments, the Governor has helped us assemble the most dedicated, thoughtful and visionary governing body on any institution of higher education anywhere.”

The nine-member board includes members from each of the four counties in the IRSC service district—St. Lucie, Indian River, Martin, and Okeechobee—and establishes the policies governing the College’s operation. Other members include Chairperson Anthony D. George Jr. (Martin County), Susan Caron (St. Lucie County) and José L. Conrado (Indian River County).
