Don't Miss Your Opportunity for Tuition-Free College Education Through Indian River State College’s Promise Program

Fort Pierce, FL (March 5, 2025) – Indian River State College is encouraging eligible high school seniors across Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties to begin preparing for the July 14 deadline for the 2025 Promise Program, which offers students a pathway to a tuition-free associate degree. 

The program has already seen strong interest from the class of 2025, with hundreds of students committing to this valuable opportunity. To ensure no qualified student misses out, the College is ramping up its outreach efforts as summer approaches.

PREPARATION STARTS NOW

Eligible students should begin working on these important steps: 

  • Sign the Promise Commitment 
  • Complete the 2025-26 FAFSA - Weekly FAFSA workshops available Wednesdays, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., in the Miley Library at the College’s main campus in Fort Pierce 
  • Plan to attend a registration night in June based on program of study, walk away with a fall college schedule 
  • Gather required documents including official high school transcripts ahead of the July 14, 2025, deadline

ELIGIBILITY 

 The Promise Program is open to students who: 

  • Graduate in 2025 from a public or charter high school in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, or St. Lucie County, or from approved private schools or in-district homeschool programs 
  • Complete all program requirements by July 14, 2025 
  • The Promise Program covers tuition at the in-state rate. Non-Florida residents will be responsible for the out-of-state portion of their tuition and fees.
