Video Recordings Will Be Archived in the Library of Congress

FORT PIERCE—Operation Sacred Legacy, a project to record and preserve the oral histories of local military veterans, is seeking veterans residing in St. Lucie, Martin, Indian River, Okeechobee and northern Palm Beach counties who would like to have their stories archived as part of the Library of Congress Veterans History Project.

Appointments are being taken for Tuesday, March 9, from 1-4 p.m. in the Wolf High Technology Center, Building C, at the Indian River State College Chastain Campus in Stuart. Veterans interested in sharing their stories should visit https://mast.house.gov/vhp to sign up for an interview slot. The Campus is located at 2400 S.E. Salerno Road.

Operation Sacred Legacy is a joint effort by the Office of U.S. Congressman Brian Mast and IRSC to provide opportunities for veterans from World War I to the present to share their stories for posterity. Interview sessions will be scheduled monthly, occurring at either the IRSC campus in Port St. Lucie or Stuart.
